A murder suspect who fled from the scene of a fatal stabbing last night in Kalihi surrendered today at the main police station.
The man, 27, was booked at 6:35 a.m. for investigation of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Otomar Muritok, 36, of Waipahu who died at The Queen's Medical Center. The stabbing at an apartment complex at 802 Waiakamilo Road was reported to police at about 10:30 p.m. The suspect resides at the complex with his girlfriend, police said. Witnesses told police they saw the two men involved in an altercation and that the victim was stabbed once. An autopsy is planned tomorrow to determine cause and manner of death.
