Sharks snap 7-game skid

Scott Shaw teamed with three relievers for a one-hitter as the Honolulu Sharks snapped a seven-game losing streak by defeating the North Shore Honu, 2-1, last night in Hawaii Winter Baseball at Les Murakami Stadium.
Shaw worked five innings and allowed the one hit while walking one and striking out six for the Sharks (14-12).
Junior Guerra (1-1) earned the victory with 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief and Kaimi Mead pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
Corey Brown doubled in the second and came around to score on Shaw's two-out wild pitch as the Honu (11-15) took a 1-0 lead.
Honolulu scored twice in the sixth — on Jordan Abruzzo's bases-loaded single and Lars Davis' sacrifice fly.
Abruzzo and Jim Rapoport each had two hits for the Sharks.
CANEFIRES ROLL TO 13-8 WIN OVER BEACHBOYS
Miles Durham and Wally Crancer each had two hits and three RBIs as the West Oahu CaneFires defeated the Waikiki BeachBoys, 13-8, at Hans L'Orange Park.
Tyler Henson added two hits and two RBIs, and Kyle Peter scored three runs for the CaneFires (13-13).
Damon Sublett and Roger Kieschick each had two hits and two RBIs, and James McOwen added three hits and scored twice for the BeachBoys (14-12).
