Kamehameha, Hawaii Baptist earn top seeds in state volleyball tournament

Defending state champions Kamehameha and Hawai'i Baptist Academy earned the top seeds for this week's Hawai'i High School Athletic Association girls state volleyball tournaments.
Three-time state champion Kamehameha (17-2) is seeded first in Division I, followed by Kahuku (16-0), Waiakea (16-0) and Kamehameha-Maui (13-0). Pairings were announced this morning.
First-round matches begin on Wednesday at Kamehameha and McKinley. The championship is Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Defending state champion Hawai'i Baptist (16-2) is seeded first in Division II. Seeded second is Moloka'i (11-2), followed by Kapolei (16-0) and Hilo (16-2).
First-round matches begin on Wednesday at Farrington and Moanalua. The championship is Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
