SALT LAKE
Fundraiser welcomes your scrap, green waste

Residents may dispose of recyclable items Saturday at the third annual Moanalua-Salt Lake Clean Up at Moanalua High School.

The event, a fundraiser for Moanalua High School's athletic program, will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school's parking lot at 2825 Ala 'Ilima St.

Acceptable items include scrap metal, auto parts, metal appliances, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, old passenger tires, green waste, car and boat batteries, printer cartridges, computers, and telephone books. Residents may also drop off reusable household items and clothing and cell phones.

To volunteer or to request curbside pick-up, call state Rep. Glenn Wakai at 586-6220 or Rene Mansho at 306-1876.
