Headed Colorado way but wishin' it could be N'awlins? Get the best of both worlds at "Bayou in the Butte — a Louisiana Swamp Party," June 14-15, in Gunnison-Crested Butte, Colo. The event includes music in the Crested Butte Center for the Arts' outdoor stage and lots of Louisiana-style cookin', including a crawfish boil, alligator etouffee, blackened scallops, all matched with wine and beer. Gates open at 10 a.m., and bands play funk, jazz, blues, zydeco and Cajun music from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Booths offer arts, crafts and children's activities. IT'S MADE HERE
The 13th annual Made in Hawaii Festival is set for Aug. 15-17 at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and Arena. More than 400 booths will showcase plants, new food products, musical entertainers and more. Winners of the Grammy, Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawaii Music Award prizes will be on hand. Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Aug. 15-16 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 17.
