NEW YORK � Washington Wizards reserve forward Darius Songaila has been suspended one game for striking Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in the face with his hand, and will sit out tonight's Game 6 of the playoff series.

Songaila hit James in the first period of Washington's 88-87 win over the Cavaliers on Wednesday in Game 5.

The suspension was announced today by NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson.
