JACKSON, Miss. — The brother of Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis has been released from the hospital after being shot in the back twice over the weekend.
Antwain Ellis, 27, was released this afternoon from University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jeffery Scott said.
Ellis was found Sunday afternoon by his mother, who went to his house to check on him.
Scott said today the circumstances around the shooting "are not clear," and Jackson police have not yet conducted a formal interview because the elder Ellis was undergoing medical treatment.
There are no suspects and no arrests have been made.
