Pilots of go! jet missed tower calls

The pilots of a go! airlines flight failed to respond to air traffic controllers 11 times during a flight from Honolulu to Hilo as it overshot its destination by 15 miles.
According to air traffic control tapes obtained by Honolulu TV station KGMB, a controller monitoring airspace around Maui repeatedly tried to raise the pilots Feb. 13. They are being investigated for possibly falling asleep during the 204-mile flight.
After about 15 minutes, the pilot finally responded and the controller asked if there was some kind of emergency situation aboard the plane.
A pilot responded there was no emergency.
The National Transportation Safety Board has said the flight had no mechanical problems.
