The state Department of Transportation and City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services have launched an informational Web site for the upcoming Kamehameha Highway Improvements Project at www.kamehamehahighwayimprovements.org.

The project will address safety concerns, aesthetics and traffic flow along a 5.25-mile-long section of Kamehameha Highway from Waihona Street (near Sam's Club in Pearl City) to Center Drive (near Hickam Air Force Base).

Public meeting schedules and progress updates will be posted at this website throughout the course of project, the DOT said.
