Surf expected to drop today on north, west shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along Oahu's northern coastline is expected to diminish today, dropping down to 6 to 10 feet this morning and decreasing again in the afternoon to 5 to 8 feet, the National Weather Service said.

Surf today along the east and south shores is expected to be in the 1- to 3-foot range.

The moderate west northwest swell will gradually diminish through the weekend. A moderate northwest swell arriving Sunday night should remain below advisory levels as it peaks early Tuesday. A third northwest swell will arrive late Tuesday and may approach advisory levels Wednesday.
