Two Oahu traffic victims identified

Advertiser Staff

The motorcyclist killed in a crash early yesterday on Likelike Highway was identified today by the Honolulu Medical Examiner's office as Christian Cambra, 18.

Cambra died of cranial cerebral injuries due to an accidental motorcycle collision, according to autopsy findings.

Cambra apparently lost control of his 1992 Honda motorcycle at a bend on Likelike Highway, 154 feet north of the H-1 Freeway and Kalihi Street split at 3:07 a.m. and struck a guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ME's office today also identified the pedestrian who died Friday at The Queen's Medical Center from injuries suffered in a Jan. 14 accident in Kalihi as Florentino Noveno, 80.

Noveno was 79 years old when he was struck by a car while rushing to cross North School Street to catch a city bus. Police said he was in a crosswalk.

An autopsy listed cause of death for Noveno as complications of multiple blunt force injuries due to an accidental motor vehicle collision.
