Shimomoto to perform July 5 at Atherton

Singer Paul Shimomoto, 2007 Hawaii Music Award winner for contemporary music, will bring his hapa-haole repertoire to Hawaii Public Radio's Atherton Performing Arts Studio at 7:30 p.m. July 5.
The studio is located at 738 Kaheka St.
Shimomoto will share tunes from his recent CD, "Sentimental Alibi," which has logged seven nominations, including Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Island Music of the Year in the June 17 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.
Shimomoto will be accompanied by Mark Tanouye, bass; Shawn Carroll, drums; and Jeanette Trevias, piano.
Tickets: $20 general, $17.50 HPR members; and $10 students.
