Weather: Trades expected to weaken a bit

The trade winds are expected to lower a bit today and tomorrow due to an upper level low pressure area moving in over the islands, the National Weather Service said.

Conditions may result in locally heavy showers by creating somewhat unstable atmospheric conditions, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind around 14 mph.

Tonight: Isolated showers before midnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Isolated showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Isolated showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
