Nobu offering weekday 'Apertivo!' feature

Nobu Waikiki at the Waikiki Parc Hotel has launched a European-style pre-dinner feature in The Lounge at Nobu.

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has dubbed the early dining feature "Apertivo!, with service from 5 to 6:30 p.m. weekdays.

It's an alternative to the traditional pau hana pupu hour of Island living or the "otsumami" custom in Japanese dining.

Among his 21 globally-based restaurants, Chef Nobu has selected Nobu Milano and Nobu Waikiki to celebrate this pre-meal dining practice, featuring a trio of the chef's selections of the day, served with a choice of a Nobu cocktail.

"I hope The Lounge at Nobu can become a gathering place for friends after work, to enjoy drinks and delicacies in good company and great style," said Chef Nobu in a statement.

Apertivo! will be available for $18 per person.
