Surf: 4-6 feet likely today along east shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the east-facing shores decreased a bit over night, but will still be in the 4- to 6-foot range today, according to the National Weather Service surf forecast.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along south-facing shores, and 1 to 3 feet along west- and north-facing shores.

Outlook through Thursday, July 24: Surf along south-facing shores will be reinforced by a new swell from late Sunday through early next week.

Another south swell arriving Tuesday night is expected to result in surf heights approaching the high surf advisory threshold along south-facing shores during the middle of next week.

The rough and choppy surf currently along east-facing shores will gradually diminish this weekend as the trades weaken to moderate levels.
