KEALAKEKUA
Community council to meet for ag presentation

Advertiser Staff

Gov. Linda Lingle's West Hawai'i Community Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday to hear a presentation on invasive species and other agriculture issues.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Konawaena High School cafeteria in Kealakekua, and the public is invited to attend.

The state Department of Agriculture's Neil Reimer, plant pest control manager, will make the presentation and answer questions.

Lingle created community advisory councils to give the Neighbor Islands a stronger voice in state government.

Anyone requiring special assistance or accommodations to participate at this meeting may call 327-4953.
