Soccer: Discounts for Great Aloha Run participants

Advertiser Staff

Organizers of this week's Pan-Pacific Soccer Championship will offer a ticket discount for all participants and attendees of the Great Aloha Run today.

Each year, more than 20,000 runners, young and old, complete the 8.15-mile course from Aloha Tower to the finish line at Aloha Stadium.

Great Aloha Run participants and their families can stop by the Aloha Stadium box office from 9 a.m. to noon to receive a special $5 discount on all tickets $15 and above for both game days. This special offer is only limited to Monday during the specified hours.

The Pan-Pacific Soccer Championships, an international tournament showcasing David Beckham and Hawai'i's Brian Ching, features the Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer, and teams from Japan (Gamba, Osaka) and Australia.

The tournament opens Feb. 20 with the Galaxy playing Gamba Osaka at 6 p.m., followed by the Dynamo vs. a Hyundai A-League Representative at 8:30 p.m.

Matches Feb. 23 also are at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
