The Honolulu medical examiner has identified Norbert Silva as the 65-year-old man who died yesterday while making repairs to his roll-off tractor-trailer on Mooiki Street at Waikupanaha Street in Waimanalo.

Silva was pinned under the bin of the truck when it came down on top of him, said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. James Todd.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to extract him, Todd said.
