North shore swell to arrive this afternoon

Surf along north-facing shores will be 6 feet to 8 feet this morning, rising to 15 feet to 18 feet by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Honolulu.

West-facing shores will be 4 feet this morning, rising to 6 feet to 12 feet by the afternoon. East-facing shores will be remain at 2 feet to 4 feet. South shores will be at 1 foot to 2 feet.

Outlook through Saturday: The northwest swell will be reinforced by an even larger swell Thursday, so surf will likely remain above advisory levels through Friday.
