Punahou in DII victory

Hilary Nakaya scored 12 points and host Punahou raced to a 12-2 first-quarter lead en route to a 51-28 victory over Christian Academy last night in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II game.

It was the regular-season opener for both teams.

Michelle Tam and Taylor Maruyama, who made two 3-pointers, finished with eight points each.

Kristin Addington led the Patriots with nine points.
