VICTORINA ULEP ABULUYAN, 79, of Waialua, died Nov. 21, 2008. Born in Barrio No. 5, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Retired from Rusty Florist. Survived by daughters, Enriqueta Pumaras, Perlita, Evelyn Layugan, Lorenza Zambrano, Corazon Ramos, Catherine and Maria Victoria; sons, Rodolfo, Benny and Arnel; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. AUDREY PALAPALA BASQUES, died Dec. 6, 2008. Born in Honolulu. Self-taught musician, performer called the "Songbird of Moloka'i." Survived by sister, Luana Hamakua; brother, Alfred Palapala; children, Aliolani, Keola, LeiKukui, Mokihana, Punalei, Hinano and Kawehilani; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
