HPD, HFD respond to flooding, blown roofs, trapped drivers
Emergency workers are having a busy morning responding to several weather-related reports:
• Women stuck in a flooded vehicle along Waialua Beach Road; A person stuck in a car along Kapaa Quarry Road and Mokapu.
• A car in the river off of Anahula Road by Surf and Sea in Haleiwa.
• Arching wires at 45-431 Kaneohe Bay Drive.
• Three people in the water near the ABC Used Auto Parts store;
• Tree leaning on a house at 2030 Citron across from McCully and Wiliwili.
• Insecure retaining wall on Waipahu Street and Waipahu Depot Road.
• A paraplegic stuck in bed with water rising at 55-538 Moana.
• Large boulder in the road at the H-1 Freeway and West Middle Street road; Mudslide and boulders that have closed the west-bound lanes of Farrington Highway around the Makua Cave area.
• Water evacuations and rescues at 67-215 Farrington Highway; 85-580 Waianae Valley Road at the entrance to Mountain View Dairy; 25 Lakeview Circle; 54-230 Kamehameha Highway; 84-162 Makau; 86-406 Kaweili St.; 185 Palapalai Circle; 60 Lakeview Circle; 84-1079 Lahilahi; Waianae Mall at 86-120 Farrington Highway.
