Streets will close during Lights on Rice Parade

The annual Lights on Rice Parade on Kaua'i is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The parade will begin at Vidinha Stadium, head down Ho'olako and Rice streets, and end on 'Eiwa Street at the Historic County Building.

To accommodate the parade, Kaua'i police will close off all county streets along the parade route, from about 5:45 to 9 p.m., including Ho'olako, Hardy, 'Eiwa and Rice streets, as well as all feeder roads to Rice Street.

Motorists will need to find alternate routes during the parade.

For the safety of pedestrians and vendors at the Kaua'i Museum Christmas Craft Fair, which is scheduled on the same day as the parade, there will be limited access through the 'Eiwa Street entrance behind the museum from 4:30 p.m. today to noon Saturday.
