A traffic collision in the ewa-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway near the Sears Distribution Center has caused major problems for morning commuters.

As of 7:55 a.m. west-bound traffic was backed up well past the Aloha Stadium in Halawa, police said.

Honolulu-bound traffic was backed up, too, well past Kunia Road, as rubber-neckers slowed down to look at what was happening on the other side of the freeway.

Tow trucks have arrived at the accident scene and are preparing to clear away the vehicles involved in the crash.

There has been no word yet on the condition of those involved in the crash.
