Choral Evensong series slated to begin Sept. 7

Saint Andrew's Cathedral begins its 2008-2009 season at 5.30 p.m. Sept. 7 with Choral Evensong in celebration of Queen Liliuokalani's 170th birthday.
The Cathedral Choirs, under the direction of John Renke, music director, will perform the Kamehameha IV Evening Service, composed by John McCreary. Malia Ka`ai-Barrett will be soprano soloist and a reception .
The free event, which repeats at 7:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month, is held at the cathedral in Queen Emma Square.
