Castle High School graduate Bryan Clay, world champion and 2004 Olympic silver medalist in the decathlon, begins his quest for gold in Beijing tomorrow (today in Hawai'i time).

BEIJING — Hi everyone! I just wanted to send a quick update from Beijing. Things here are going really well! My practices for the past few days have been pretty low key and easy (to get my body ready) and they have been going great! Everything feels good and I am definitely ready to go! We start tomorrow (today in Hawai'i) and I can't wait!

I also just wanted to thank everyone for all of the support! It has been amazing. I have been getting messages on Facebook, MySpace, and my Web site from around the world. It is so cool to know that so many people are behind me, cheering for me and praying for me! So keep it coming!!!

I love reading all of your messages and notes of encouragement.

Please pray for me tomorrow; for safety, for strength, for energy, and just that I would be able to go out there and do my best!

Let's bring home the gold and the title "Worlds Greatest Athlete" to our great nation. GO USA!!!!
