TONIGHT'S MUST-SEES

Olympics, 6 p.m. NBC. It's another late night for viewers. The women's individual gymnastics finals are on. That's a big draw, whether the winner is from the U.S. (Mary Lou Retton, Carly Patterson) or elsewhere (Olga Korbut, Nadia Comaneci). This year, top contenders include two Americans, Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin. Plus, there's volleyball indoors (U.S. men versus Bulgaria) and on the beach. At 10, swimming finals include men's 200-meter medley and 200-meter backstroke and women's 100-meter freestyle and 200-meter breaststroke.

"Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" season finale, 7 p.m., Bravo. Emotions cover the extremes as Kathy Griffin visits Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Griffin is jolted by the injuries and heartened by the resilience of the soldiers and their families. Her humor persists in what's often a feel-good hour.

Football, 2 p.m., Fox. The Fox crew warms up with this preseason game with Carolina at Philadelphia.

"Elvis: That's the Way It Is" (1970), 6 p.m., ION. Saturday will mark the 31st anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. Here's a chance to see him launching his Las Vegas phase. It's no match for early Elvis, but it's still a beautifully filmed portrait of a master singer.

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. Amanda works to meet her biological father. Also, Daniel meets a new woman.

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. While struggling with her own crumbling marriage, Bailey deals with a relative's medical emergency.

"Flashpoint," 9 p.m., CBS. A teen girl has retaliated by killing a gang member. After she flees to the mall, officials rush to keep her from being killed by the gang or by herself.
