Firefighters today assisted a military woman who suffered serious injuries in an off-road accident involving an overturned all-terrain vehicle at Kaena Point.

Personnel from the Waialua Fire Station responded at 7:20 p.m. and attended to the woman, who was transported by the Honolulu Fire Department's helicopter from the accident scene to Mokuleia Beach Park, said fire Capt. Earle Kealoha.

Emergency Medical Services took the woman to Tripler Medical Center with an apparent hip injury at about 7:45 p.m.
