An area of high pressure has moved over the Islands and is likely to stick around for another day resulting in light winds, the National Weather Service said.

By tomorrow, a high-pressure area will begin building far to the north of the Islands bringing a more typical trade-wind pattern.

The atmosphere is rather dry so afternoon clouds will produce only isolated showers.

As the trades return over the weekend, the haze will be cleared from the smaller islands and windward and mountain areas will revert back to the typical cloudiness and scattered showers.

Saturday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Saturday Night: Scattered showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Sunday: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
