Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino, on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf, will make his first rehab appearance at Class A Clearwater today, according to mlb.com.
The switch-hitting Victorino, 27, a 1999 graduate of St. Anthony's High School on Maui, suffered the injury April 12 while running to first base on a ground out.
Victorino expects to be activated for the Phillies' game with the San Diego Padres next Tuesday, the first day he's eligible to return from the disabled list.
"I definitely feel good, and feel like I'm headed in the right direction," Victorino told mlb.com.
