Flash flood watch canceled for most of Hawaii

Advertiser Staff

The National Weather Service has canceled a flash flood watch for Kaho'olawe, Lana'i, Maui, Moloka'i, O'ahu and the Big Island as of 3:17 a.m. today.

The threat of heavy rain has diminished over most islands.

The flash flood watch remains in effect, however, for Kaua'i through this afternoon, the Weather Service said.

The weather northwest of the state will maintain favorable conditions for the development of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms over Kaua'i and Ni'ihau today, forecasters said.
