Motorists are advised that there will be single-lane closures on Fort Weaver Road this week as a result of the ongoing road-widening project.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, southbound lanes will be affected. The left lane between Laulaunui Street and Old Fort Weaver Road will be closed for trenching work tied to the installation of electrical conduits. There will also be single-lane closures from Old Fort Weaver to Renton for temporary lane striping.

From 9 a.m. to 1;30 p.m. daily, northbound traffic will be affected with intermittent right-lane closures from 'A'awa Drive to the Honoluliuli Stream Bridge for drainage system construction.

The widening project is expected to be completed in mid-2009.
