A Nanakuli woman charged last night with first-degree burglary made her initial appearance today at District Court.

Noelani U. Laa, 30, is accused of forcibly entering the home of a Wai'anae woman on Sept. 8, 2007. Laa, whose criminal record includes four convictions, is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The complainant, 30, told police her ex-boyfriend Randy M. Miles, 30, and Laa forced their way into her home. Miles allegedly swung a baseball bat at the complainant twice but missed. No serious injuries were reported.

Miles was charged over the weekend with first-degree terroristic threatening and is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.
