Young Laundry parent buys chain

U.S. Dry Cleaning Corp., the Palm Springs, Calif.-based owner of Hawai'i's Young Laundry chain, said it has signed an agreement to acquire a 20-store chain for $6.13 million in cash and stock.
The company said the chain, with 18 stores in and around Fresno, Calif., and two in Arizona, will add more than $6.5 million in annual revenue. The businesses are Team Enterprises Inc., Bell Hop Cleaners of California Inc., Team Equipment Inc. and Fabricare Services Inc. The businesses operate under the trade names One Hour Martinizing and Regency Cleaners.
KESSLER INTERNATIONAL OFFICE HERE
Kessler International, a New York firm specializing in forensic accounting, corporate fraud and Internet crime detection and prevention, said it is opening an office in Honolulu to serve the needs of the Pacific Rim.
The new office will be at 7 Waterfront Plaza, Suite 400.
REBATE FIRM CALLS ITSELF OHANA
A new Wilmington, Del.-based company trying to make rebate redemption and marketing easier has become the latest company to adopt a Hawaiian name.
Ohana Companies LLC said its mission to simplify the process is inspired by the word 'ohana in the sense that family and friends are bound together and must cooperate and remember one another.
The company, with its everybodywins.com Web site, said it has almost eliminated the inefficient and costly mail-in rebate and fulfillment process by offering an online way to redeem, validate and fulfill rebates.
HRPT PROPERTIES SELLING NOTES
HRPT Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust that is a major O'ahu industrial land owner, said it is selling $250 million of unsecured notes to reduce debt under its revolving credit line.
The sale of the 6.65 percent senior notes due 2018 is being managed by Wachovia Securities, Merrill Lynch & Co. and UBS Investment Bank. HRPT Properties has its headquarters in Newton, Mass. and owns office buildings throughout the United States.
KALABASH PUTS ATM AT UH
The Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union has added a new ATM to its network at the University of Hawai'i's Campus Center.
The ATM was installed in partnership with the University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union.
With more than 40 ATMs, Aloha Pacific's KALABASH is the largest credit union ATM network in Hawai'i.
MILILANI YMCA APPOINTS CABRAL
The YMCA has appointed Nicole Cabral as director of membership and marketing for its Mililani branch.
Cabral will be responsible for generating new member leads at the Mililani YMCA, helping achieve monthly membership goals, and planning and overseeing marketing initiatives.
Cabral, a Hawai'i Pacific University general business graduate, was previously a credit union marketing representative and coordinator.
