SMALL BUSINESS REGULATORY REVIEW BOARD

Lynne Woods has been nominated as the chair of the Small Business Regulatory Review Board for the fourth year. The former president of the Maui Chamber of Commerce is co-owner of Keller Williams Realty on Maui. Nominated as board vice chair for the second year is Sharon L. Pang, owner of Care Companions & Consulting. Michael C.L. Yee, owner of EnviroServices & Training Center LLC, was nominated as second vice chair. The 11-volunteer-member board, appointed by the governor and approved by the state Senate, is responsible for providing recommendations to state agencies and counties on new and amended administrative rules — as well as reviewing existing rules and regulations — that directly impact small businesses.

MANOA VALLEY THEATRE

JEFF PORTNOY, an attorney with the law firm at Cades Schutte LLP, has been named president of the Manoa Valley Theatre 2007-2008 board of directors. Other officers include vice president Mike Rosenberg, president, KITV; secretary Neil W. Field, a public relations counselor; and treasurer John F. Maughan, a community volunteer. New board members include Norb Buelsing, executive vice president A&B Properties Inc.; Ian Fitz-Patrick, certified financial planner, Merrill Lynch; Dale Hahn, community volunteer; Dr. Russell H. Masunaga, 'Ohana Dental Center; Richard S. Morris, president, Benefit Capital Financial Services Inc.; Dana-Ann Takushi, senior vice president, Bank of Hawai'i; and Ron Wright, general manager/vice president, Cutter Ala Moana VW/Mazda.

ISLAND INSURANCE CO. LTD.

Island Insurance Co. has promoted Vance Tokumoto to assistant vice president and assistant treasurer, and Ross Yokoyama to assistant vice president in its accounting and finance division.

Tokumoto will continue to manage capital allocation and investments and work with financial consultants and investment managers to keep the company's investments in compliance with regulatory statutes.

Yokoyama will continue to manage the direct bill, agency receivable, cashier and customer service units, in addition to dealing with accounts receivable inquires from policyholders, agents and agency principals.
