KAPALUA ZIPLINES: Kapalua Resort's Adventures Mountain Outpost will open Jan. 7. The Mountain Outpost features one of the longest zipline systems in North America with eight dual-track ziplines, two suspension bridges, a high ropes challenge course, and a four-station climbing tower. The ziplines offer nearly two miles of scenic adventure with the longest zipline at 2,200 feet in length. Guests of all ages and fitness levels can zip above the tree canopy, deep ravines and other natural features. Much of the experience is handicapped-accessible; trained guides will offer geological, natural and cultural history of the area. DIRECT L.A.-KONA FLIGHTS: Delta Air Lines will launch daily direct flights between Los Angeles and Kona International Airport on June 5. Kona's direct flight will depart LAX at 12:15 p.m. and arrive in Kona at 2:50 p.m. In addition to flights between Hawai'i and Los Angeles, Delta Air Lines also offers nonstop service to Hawai'i from Atlanta and Salt Lake City.
