Ching, Hashimoto to teach at soccer clinic

The 10th Annual ProXtreme Holiday Soccer Camp will be Dec. 26 to 29 at Wai'alae Iki Park and will feature several professional players from Major League Soccer, including Brian Ching.

The camp will be run from 3 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 26 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 27 to 29.

The cost is $225 per player, if registered by Dec. 1. After Dec. 1, the cost is $250 per player.

Ching, a Kamehameha Schools alum who plays for the MLS champion Houston Dynamo and the United States national team, highlights a group of MLS players.

Also, Duke Hashimoto, an 'Iolani School alum from Kapolei, who plays for Real Salt Lake, will be participating in the clinic.

Other players scheduled to attend: Clint Mathis (Los Angeles Galaxy, U.S. national team); Ted Eck (Dallas Burn); and Kenji Treschuk (USL Seattle Sounders Champion).

The camp is open to the first 250 players, boys and girls ages 5 to 14 of all skill levels.
