Forum to discuss what's new in employment law

The Hawai'i Island Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 2007 Employment Law Seminar on Nov. 29.
The law firm of Torkildson Katz Moore and Hetherington will co-sponsor the event, which features lawyers Newton Chu, Kalani Morse and Kendra Kawai discussing the latest personnel law and policy developments to protect business owners and their organizations.
The popular daylong seminar will be held at the Hawai'i Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Kilohana room and includes lunch, the newest version of the popular publication the "Chamber Desk Manual" and a one-year subscription to the on-line version.
Chu said the session this year will focus on new developments in the area of discrimination and harassment, disability issues, immigration law, leave laws and new hiring strategies.
