TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"House," 8 p.m., Fox. As the networks scrambled this spring, viewers received a bonus: Fox did so much fiddling with its Tuesdays that it had an extra "House" episode left over. We get it now, after the season officially ended. A woman has fled from Cuba, hoping to be treated by Dr. House. She's rescued at sea, but her medical records are lost.

"Boston Legal," 9 p.m., ABC. Here's another show that extended its season by a week. Alan and Denny defend brothers charged with killing their dad. Meanwhile, Clarence and Jerry are representing a woman who lost big in gambling; she blames the casino.

OF NOTE

"On the Lot," 7 p.m., Fox. On Monday, we saw short pieces by 18 filmmakers; then viewers voted. Tonight, the field is trimmed to 15.

"George Lopez," 7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC. This show won't be back in the fall, so catch reruns while you can. The first is quite clever; after an argument with his wife, George dreams he's about to have a gay wedding.

"Law & Order" (7 p.m.), "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (8 p.m.) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (9 p.m.); NBC. Yes, NBC has new summer shows on the way. For now, however, it strings together these reruns. In the first, a slain soccer-mom type is shown on the Internet, provocatively dressed. In the second, the stabbing of a firefighter is linked to a hate crime. In the third, a custody fight turns violent.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. McGee's teen sister is covered in blood and unable to remember what happened. A sailor's body is found at her college.

"Independent Lens: The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill," 9 p.m., PBS. Once homeless, Mark Bittner became caretaker for a San Francisco cottage. There, a remarkable thing happened: Many parrots — former pets, apparently — adopted his yard as their home. Judy Irving filmed the birds and the human, developing a warm relationship. Her film is often too slow, but has moments of great beauty.

"Flashpoint," 9 p.m., CBS. A year ago, an Iraq car bombing killed four people and seriously injured CBS reporter Kimberly Dozier. Katie Couric looks at the event and at Dozier's recovery.

"The Shield," 10 p.m., FX. Shane's in a partnership with Diro, who plans to take over the Armenian mob.
