TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"High School Musical: The Concert," 9 p.m., Disney Channel. The perpetual success of this project has been dazzling. "High School Musical" was a fun story, with teens auditioning for a musical. It stole its opening from "Grease," stretched believability, but worked. The music was vibrant and the kids were engaging. Disney has played it constantly, while creating spinoffs. That has included a concert tour, CDs, books, a game and more. Schools began doing it as their high school musical; a Broadway-style tour starts soon. A sequel is being prepared, but first, here's a special. It catches the concert, plus off-stage moments from the tour. One star, Zac Efron, couldn't make the tour — he was busy with the "Hairspray" musical. The others are there, talented and telegenic. They include Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman.

OF NOTE

"Men in Black" (1997, TNT) or "Spider-Man 2" (2002, FX), both 5 p.m. Both films remind us that special-effects films can still have intelligent scripts and subtle performances. One has Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith as agents, keeping an eye on Earth's aliens; the other has Tobey Maguire as the angst-ridden Spider-Man, now facing Doctor Octopus.

"Ghost Whisperer," 7 p.m., CBS. Melinda hears ominous news from a ghost prophet. She also worries, because Gabriel is still in town.

"Grey's Anatomy," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's a quick rerun of the two-hour episode that aired Thursday. That includes the pilot for a series that would move Addison (Kate Walsh) to Los Angeles. Taye Diggs, Tim Daly and Amy Brenneman co-star.

"Bones," 8 p.m., Fox. A human arm is found in a bear's stomach. Foul play is suspected.

"Close to Home," 8 p.m., CBS. This wraps ups a two-parter in which Annabeth tries to nab a crooked cop. Meanwhile, Jonathon Silverman — in real life, the fiance of series star Jennifer Finnigan — is back as Conlon's campaign adviser.

"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. There are reports that a deadly substance may be in Los Angeles' water system and that it may be part of a terrorist plot.

"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. When a boy's body is found in the ditch, Green and Cassady are called in. A convicted sex offender leads them in one direction, but things don't add up.

"Monk," 10 p.m., USA Network. Here's a rerun of the Christmas episode. (Why not a Christmas episode?) Dan Hedaya plays Monk's estranged father. Their road trip reveals that he faces big trouble.
