KANE'OHE
Input sought on cultural issues

Advertiser Staff

The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council wants to identify cultural practitioners and receive input on the re-establishment of 'aha moku councils in the Islands.

Native Hawaiian cultural practitioners from the Ko'olauloa and Ko'olaupoko (Makapu'u to Waimea) areas are invited to attend a meeting on the subject at 6:30 p.m. today at Windward Community College Hale 'Akoakoa Building.

The 'aha moku councils will advise the state Department of Land and Natural Resources on cultural issues.

For more information, call the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council at 522-8220.
