The fifth annual Malama Waimea Community Work Day activities include removing invasive species, clearing trails and caring for cultural sites in the park.

Families, organizations and children with adult supervision are welcomed. Participants should bring gloves and tools and wear closed-toe shoes and sunscreen. People should dress to get dirty.

The Audubon Society, which has operated the park for four years, will also serve lunch to volunteers who arrive by 9 a.m.
