A full-day Kilauea Volcano Adventure on the Big Island, with an interpretive naturalist, is being offered by Hawai'i Forest & Trails.

ALL-AGES ADVENTURE: Hawai'i Forest & Trail's Kilauea Volcano Adventure is a full-day adventure for all ages with easy to moderate walking. Explore the park in the company of an interpretive naturalist and learn about its geological and historic significance; the hike includes access to restricted rainforest areas for a "ginger pull," which helps keep the rainforest pristine. Pickup is from select locations; the hike includes midmorning snack with Kona coffee, Tazo teas, fresh fruit and pastries; deli lunch with beverages, daypacks, bottled water, walking sticks, warm wear and rain-gear. Tours are limited to 10 guests who should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain. Cost is $155 for adults and $120 for children 12 and younger. SUPERFERRY DISCOUNTS: The Hawaii Superferry will have discounted fares for those 12 and younger, 62 and older and retired military personnel for service between O'ahu, Maui and Kaua'i, which is scheduled to begin in July.
