HANAUMA BAY
Box jellyfish influx tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Those heading to the beach this weekend, particularly at Hanauma Bay, may want to check with lifeguards first.

The monthly influx of box jellyfish is expected to arrive tomorrow, according to the city's Ocean Safety Division.

While the most commonly affected area is Waikiki, enough box jellyfish were spotted at Hanauma Bay in April and May to prompt the city to close the popular snorkeling spot.
