ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Make it a point to check expiration date
Advertiser Staff
What you don't know can burn you. As you gather up those summer necessities - bikini, beach tote, hat, sunscreen and cover-up - there's one thing you might forget to check: the expiration date on your sunscreen. Slathering on expired sunscreen can mean risking exposure to harmful UV rays. If you don't see an expiration date on your sunscreen, test the product. If it smells funky, feels lumpy or has an off color, throw it away and invest in a new bottle.
