Zen brush painting highlight of family event at museum

The Hawai'i State Art Museum showcases "Zen Brush Painting" at today's family-friendly Second Saturday celebration, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Artist Andy Kay will guide participants in the materials, technique and rituals of painting with bamboo brush and ink.
The event is free. The museum, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is at 250 S. Hotel St. 586-0900.
