DOWNTOWN
Beretania St. repaving project put off till Jan. 2

Advertiser Staff

The project to repave Beretania Street has been put on hold for the holidays.

Work will resume Jan. 2.

In the new year, crews will be working on a portion of Beretania Street between Alapa'i and Lauhala streets. The work will require 24-hour lane closures of three lanes from Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. through Jan. 8.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Off-duty police officers will be on hand to direct traffic. For more information, go to www.ssfm.com/beretania_street or call the project hotline at 591-7666.
