'BLUES CO-OP' TO PERFORM

A meeting of the "The Honolulu Blues Co-op" is set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Atherton Performing Arts Studio. The concert will feature slide guitarist Rick Smith; Larry Spalding on blues uke and harmonicas; Ian Chames on bass; James Ganeko on drums, and special guest Rico on street guitar. PULITZER-WINNING DRAMA

Manoa Valley Theatre will stage "Doubt," winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for drama. Jan. 16-Feb. 3, $25 adults, $20 seniors/military, $15 age 25 and younger. Reservations: 988-6131.

DANCE AT LEEWARD

Doug Varone and Dancers — including Hilo native Eddie Taketa, who will perform to Jake Shimabukuro's music — come to Leeward Community College Theatre at 8 p.m. Jan. 19. Tickets: $23 general, $19 students and military.

MLK DAY MARCH, RALLY

The 20th annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration is set for Jan. 21. The parade will begin assembling at 7:30 a.m. at Magic Island. The route winds through Waikiki. A post-parade unity rally will be held at Kapi'olani Park.
