Mamiya powers No. 1 Crusaders

Micah Mamiya threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns to lead top-ranked and visiting Saint Louis to a 48-7 non-league victory over Kailua last night at the Surfriders' field.
Mamiya hit Ryan Iaea with a 70-yard score and Billy Stutzmann with a 40-yarder to help the Crusaders (2-0) to a 16-0 first-quarter lead.
In the second quarter, Mamiya threw a 45-yard scoring pass to Lucas Gonsalves and a 20-yarder to Tamatoa DeMello as Saint Louis took a 41-0 lead at intermission.
Mamiya completed 11 of 19 passes. Iaea caught three passes for 110 yards.
The Crusaders' defense forced three safeties and also had an interception returned for a touchdown.
Kailua (0-2) averted a shutout when Kale Sumner hit Kealoha Adams with a 20-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
