'EWA
'Ewa Villages cleanup patrol

Advertiser Staff

Volunteers are being sought for Ewa Weed & Seed's Clean and Green cleanup patrol set for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the 'Ewa Villages plantation town.

Those interested are asked to meet at the Varona Village bus station on Renton Road near the train station. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gardening gloves, rakes, gardening tools and wheelbarrows.

The patrol had its first Clean and Green patrol in 1999. Teens have since taken over leadership of the project. Co-sponsors of the event are Ewa Weed and Seed, the Hawaiian Railway Society and Hawaii's Plantation Village.
